The RadonAway GX5 Pro Series Radon Fan is the highest-suction fan in the GX series, operating at up to 5.2" of vacuum (5.6" max). It is built for demanding radon mitigation applications — tight clay soils, poor sub-slab communication, and systems with high pressure losses — while its 3" duct connections keep the fan compact and easy to fit in tight chases and smaller pipe runs.

Built with RadonAway's durable Eternalast™ polycarbonate housing and Vapor Tite™ sealing to inhibit radon and soil gas leakage. Like all Pro Series fans, it is rated for both residential and commercial use, suitable for indoor or outdoor installation, and backed by a 5-year limited warranty.

GX5 vs GX5A — which one?

The GX5 (this fan) has 3" duct connections and slightly higher suction (5.2" vs 5.0" recommended max) — the pick for 3" pipe systems and very tight soils. The GX5A has 4" duct connections and moves more air at lower pressures — the pick for 4" pipe systems that also need higher airflow. Both mount to 4" Schedule 40 pipe with the right flexible couplings (the GX5 uses 4"×3" couplings).

Application

Used in active radon mitigation systems requiring the highest vacuum performance — restrictive tight soils, long or complex pipe runs, and retrofits where a compact 3" fan body is easier to fit.
