RadonDepot Noise-Reducing Muffler Foam
Reduce radon system noise without affecting performance.
Radon mitigation systems are designed to run continuously, and in some installations the fan or piping can transmit unwanted noise into living spaces. Radon Supply Noise-Reducing Muffler Foam is used inside a radon fan muffler to absorb sound and reduce vibration, helping create a quieter, more comfortable home.
This foam insert targets the most common source of radon system noise—air movement and resonance inside the muffler—without restricting airflow or reducing system effectiveness. It’s an easy, low-cost upgrade that can make a noticeable difference, especially in homes where the radon system runs near bedrooms, offices, or living areas.
Why Use Muffler Foam
- Reduces airborne noise generated by radon fans
- Helps dampen vibration and resonance in the muffler
- Improves homeowner comfort without modifying the system
- Does not interfere with airflow or radon mitigation performance
Application
Inset in 4" pipe above the radon fan and near the discharge. Reduces discharge air noise by up for 80%.
