Description
RadonAway Condensate Bypass Kit for 4" Transition Fitting (25030)
Routes condensation from a radon exhaust pipe around the fan, using a 4" transition fitting installed above the fan.
Water condenses inside a radon exhaust pipe and runs back down toward the fan. RadonAway fan motors are built to handle moisture, but RadonAway says that in some locations and weather a bypass is worth adding to cut down on possible fan damage. This kit catches the water above the fan and drains it through an insulated tube to the inlet pipe below, so it bypasses the motor.
This kit is made for a 4" Schedule 40 PVC transition fitting (RadonAway 13245), which is sold separately and not carried by RadonDepot. The weir in the kit sits inside that fitting.
What is in the kit
- 1 weir for the transition fitting
- 2 barbed fittings, for 3/8" tube and 1/4" NPT
- 1 clear 3/8" tube, 3 ft long
- 1 tubing insulation, 3 ft long

Common questions
Is this the same as the fan guard?
No. They are two different RadonAway parts that do the same job in different ways. The fan guard has its own drain fitting. This kit goes into a transition fitting.
Can I use it without the transition fitting?
RadonAway's instructions are written for the 4" transition fitting (13245), and the weir is shaped to sit inside it.
Do I need to drill the pipe?
Yes. Both barbed fittings thread into tapped 1/4" NPT holes, one above the fan and one below.
